The above picture was given to me as a post card in March 2009 by Mike Martin, the present owner of the Golden Cue, now located at the old Grove's Drug Store at 14th and Grant that was across from Day's Drive-in back in our day. Martin is researching as much history as possible of the ownership of that business. It was originally located on 27th street across from Buck's Drive-in. It was a classy place run by classy people: Mr. and Mrs. John Kelley. Their children were Judy Kelley (PHS-1962) and Mike Kelley (PHS-196?). I was a college student and I was present the day this picture was taken, and was working as a part time employee. In the far corner of the room is Alford Smallwood in a yellow shirt and Cameron Ray to his left. In the center is Bill Webster and Judy Kelley at a table with Judy's parents. To their right, bent over a snooker table about to miss a shot is Phil Vincent.
I prefer pictures that represent the times featured in this site.
Also, I have inserted pictures from those days that I have no idea about where I got them. If you see a picture you can identify, please let me know.
